pd_recap and nk2006 - thanks for the initiatives - we will keep improving this effort in every possible way.

The greatness of USCIS is unbelievable!!!!!
When the dates move ahead, to say 2006, the 485s that get approved the most are for people whose PDs are in 2006. The 2004-2005 folks just have to keep starring!!! Then all of a sudden dates fall back to 2003...now only god knows who is yet to be approved in EB2-India before April 2003.
So what it seems like is when the dates move ahead drastically all the people who most recently applied will get approved and for the people who are stuck in backlog will see approvals only if the dates stick around their dates for atleast over a year....until then USCIS doesn't even realize that oh these people are still in queue and we need to approve them!!!
Such a BS to deal with all because of USCIS' GRACE!!!!

What they are calling HEAVY DEMAND from EB-3 when it has been unavailable for the last two months and before that it was stuck in 2001. There are a whole lot of visas going to EB-2 people who filed in 2006 just two years back . If a person who filed in 2001 can't get his GC
I think they are talking about EB3 Mexico... Doesn't make any sense for EB3-India as it has already been unavailable.. so what does heavy load signifies... I am positive EB3-I will open up... may be more retrogressed than last availability.. but it will be available on Oct 1...

I contacted WI senators office and told about the visa bulletin changes.
Also called WPR to highlight the injustice done to legal immigrants by changing the visa bulletin on the day USCIS was supposed accept the I-485.

I am from Tennessee..My labor PD is July 2002(regular), was forwarded to Phylly from atlanta regional after recruitement was done. got 45 day letter in feb of 2005. I haven't heard from them since. anyone in the same boat with similar Priority dates?

Why don�t we go to McDonald�s for lunch.� As they are driving to McDee�s, the father is trying to rearrange his thoughts to answer his son�s question. They have a nice lunch and the father is finally able to answer his son�s question using the birds and the bees as examples (at this time the two bees at the coke machine are probably complaining to each other, why all fathers never talk about the actual characters). Anyway, after listening to his father speak. The son replies back, drawing out a piece of paper �It is still confusing to me. How do I fit all that in this tiny box.� On the piece of paper are two boxes with M and F next to it.

Lets say out of 500K indians are 25%(atleast), so 125K, 1 year we get 7k visas based on country, so will it take 20 years for all July filers to get GC?????????????? We need major reform then, thats a total wait of 25 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I checked 2007 return and it has only 100K asset. I am not sure we accumulated 350K since then. I think you got confused with revenue vs. cash on hand / asset.
raised 461K in 2007 and spent 400K on lobbying? Sounds like lot of money....

heres the thing..we have been talking about the 2004 hump for eb2 for a while now. if you download the perm data from 2005 you will see only 7000+ PERM approvals for India. this included a significant number of EB3 other worker categories like pipe welder, cook, etc ( i am assuming they were eb3 -other worker...correct me if i m wrong)
this was the breakdown per month for perm 2005
March-1
April -13
May-72
June-324
July-351
Aug-833
Sept-1172
Oct-1212
Nov-1541
Dec-1771
7290 - includes everybody - eb2, eb3, eb3 other workers
the whole question was the hump of 2004-march2005

Sens. Schumer and Hutchison have offered the Bridge amendment. The amendment has been withdrawn but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is permanently withdrawn. According to www.shusterman.com It has a chanse to pass in September, just after the summer recess.
I believe all our efforts should be concentraited on this legislation!
Core Team, we badly need your advise, how can we help, what should we do in order to lobby this ammendment? It might be difficult because the majority of Schedule A professionals are still outside the US..... There in US we have only our lawers, who seems to me are not willing or can help us.

I think we are getting into an unnecessary discussion. My objective of this thread was to point out to our members that when we are discussing about immigration issues in the media we should also expose the mismanagement of the USCIS. They should not get away just by saying we were not prepared for this....

I am exactly in the same situation. Sometimes I feel that I should just dump the EB3 application (PD: 12/04) and start a brand new EB2. Maybe the EB2 PD of say 12/08 will end up to be better than EB3 12/04.
I believe everyone is thinking in the same direction... but if and only if we're able to come out of the blackhole called I-140.
