I had applied on July 19th to Nebraska. My I-140 was approved from TX.
Today I received transfer notice WAC...., mentioning that they have transferred my case to TX Service center.

The receipt date is of Sep 14th, Notice date of Sep 17th'2007.

Does it mean I lost the original filing receipt date of July 20th'2007.

it may be possibal, but thats really pushing the limit of flash. I whoudnt reccomend trying it, but thats kinda up to you. You shouldnt even think about it unless your an expert at actionscripts..

Where can i get photos for the Canadian visa. they have different specs. from the US pp photograph. I have already checked- Costco, USPS and the other stores.
I plan to call Sears tomorrow.

I always take pics at home, adjust them at Passport photos for free - ePassportPhoto.com (http://www.epassportphoto.com/) and get the printout from one of the drug stores.

I came to US on L1(worked for 1 year) and then switched to F1 till getting my H1B on May 2005 (which is 2 years old). How many years(3 or 4) do I have left on H1? I mean will the 1 year L1 count towards the total six years allocated for H1B?

October is usually a month where we see improvements as new visa numbers become available for a new fiscal year. Most categories showed forward movement though few jumps of more than a few months. Just need some suggestion:

I may be on the chopping block next week..
currently am on my 8th year H1, expires march 2010..so less than a year to restart..and be back in the line. (spouse on H1)

My 140 is pending...

so if i lose my job.. can i go to H4.. even though i have stayed here for more than 6 years..
and in case if i get job ...can i get back on H1 and restart GC?

i am thinking.. i have come to the end of all options.. and the only course available for me is back to desh..any inputs..will be appretiated..

Have anybody feeling the big difference between Texas and Nebraska service center processing? Texas is giving greencards and June filers most of them have got EAD and Advanced Paroles. Is immigrationvoice doing anything to escalate the situation.

Hi

I had the same case. Call up the 800 number in the reciept and find options where you can change the address on the phone. The reason I tried this was because as the # is not in the system you can't even report a problem with the case.

Now when the representative is available, tell them the issue and they will connect you to someone who can verify the status for you. The next layer rep will ask your name and address for verification and tell you the status.

Hi all,

My I-140 was approved 2.5 years back and I-485 was also approved more than an year back.

But, today the status on my I-140 got changed to "REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD". I am not sure, why did they reopen the case again. I checked with my company and they assured me that they didn't revoke my I-140.

Could anyone suggest me what's happening to my case. Has anyone seen an similar kind of an issue and wat shd I do further ?

American Family Visas are permanent Immigrant Visas, meaning genuine applicants under this category may obtain permanent residency in America if they meet qualifying requirements.

I am a July 2007 filer. I filed for I-485 using the old fee structure and also applied for AP in July 2007. My AP got approved in 07 but expired so I had to apply for AP in Aug 2008. So I filed in Aug 2008 and paid $305 for AP fee. Now it's to reapply for AP as it expires soon; however I was under the impression that I wouldn't have to pay for AP fee again. I sent the forms to USCIS but the AP package got returned as they claim i don't qualify for free fling.

Anyone else in this position (I am assuming a lot of you guys are... please share your experience). Do we have to pay every year for AP?
